Cookie policy

Version 2026-09-12 · last updated on 12 September 2026

  • Necessary (always active): essential for basic functionality. This includes your cookie preference, which we store in your browser’s localStorage, namely your cookie choice itself (multomato-cookie-consent-v3). This is retained until you clear your browser data or the version of this policy changes; in the latter case, we ask you to make your choice again. If you choose a language yourself, we also store your language preference in the necessary cookie multomato-language-v1, for one year. This keeps the website in your chosen language. If you have not selected a language, we use available country information from our hosting provider and your browser language; we do not request your GPS location or use an external location service.
  • Statistics (denied by default, only with your consent): Google Tag Manager is only loaded after you consent to statistics or marketing. Google Analytics 4 is only loaded after you consent to statistics. Your statistics choice never grants marketing consent.
  • Marketing (denied by default, only with your consent): a separate choice for advertising measurement and retargeting via Facebook and Instagram. Where the Meta Pixel is enabled on our public website, we only load it after your marketing consent. Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. then receives data about page visits, starting and successfully submitting contact and newsletter requests, and trial request steps such as choosing a plan and submitting a registration. A submitted registration still awaits email activation and is not measured as an actual trial start. We send only these explicitly configured events; automatic form detection is disabled. The Conversions API and Google Ads tags are not enabled yet. When this cookie policy is updated to a new version, we ask you to choose again.
  • Source of your first visit (only with consent for statistics): we then store one additional value in your browser’s localStorage (multomato-first-touch-v1) containing the campaign source, the first page visited and the time of your first visit. We retain this value for a maximum of fourteen months, deleting it sooner if you withdraw consent or clear your browser data.
  • External media: currently inactive. We do not load embedded third-party media on this site. This category is therefore shown as inactive in your preferences.

_fbcMetalink a Meta ad click to a visit; only where applicable and after marketing consentcookieup to 90 days each time the cookie is set or renewed

The two Google cookies are only set after consent to statistics. Google Tag Manager does not set cookies itself. The Meta cookies _fbp and, where applicable, _fbc are set on our own domain, only after marketing consent and when the Pixel is enabled. A later visit with consent may renew their lifetime. Without consent, we only retain your necessary cookie preference and, if you choose a language yourself, your language preference.

For an event with consent, Meta may process your IP address, browser and device information, the public page visited and pseudonymous cookie identifiers. Form and trial requests may also include the step, selected plan, form location and a general error category. We restrict the page and referrer data sent and do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, free-text messages, passwords or activation tokens. The purpose is to measure our ads, see where visitors drop out and reach previous website visitors again on Facebook and Instagram. Meta may link these event data to a Meta account and combine them with other data under its own privacy policy.

More about processing by Meta, any transfers outside the EEA, retention periods and your rights can be found in the Meta privacy policy.

In the analytics category, we process: page path and pageview data, events (such as opening an FAQ or starting a trial request), device and browser information, an approximate country or region, and the traffic source with any UTM parameters. Contact details and free-text form contents are never sent to the dataLayer or GA4. The purpose is limited to improving the site, the conversion funnel and the results of our QR codes using pseudonymous and aggregated statistics.

Separately, our website platform Lovable uses basic project analytics (visitors, pages, source, device and country) to support the hosting and operation of the site.

We set the retention period for GA4 report and event data to a maximum of fourteen months.

We ask for your consent on your first visit. Statistics and marketing are off by default and you can refuse or allow them separately. Allow all turns both on; Necessary only leaves both off. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via Cookie preferences in the footer. If you withdraw consent to statistics, new analytics events stop and we delete the stored source data of your first visit. If you withdraw marketing consent, all new Meta events stop and we revoke consent for the Pixel. Data previously received by Google or Meta are not automatically deleted as a result. You can also clear previously set cookies in your browser and exercise your privacy rights.
