Cookie policy

• Necessary (always active): essential for basic functionality. This includes your cookie preference, which we store in your browser’s localStorage, namely your cookie choice itself (multomato-cookie-consent-v3). This is retained until you clear your browser data or the version of this policy changes; in the latter case, we ask you to make your choice again. Choose your language using the language menu; the web address you open determines the language version. We do not redirect automatically based on your country, browser language or a saved language choice. The cookie multomato-language-v1 may still be present from an earlier language choice or a Dutch brochure link. It is retained for up to one year and does not determine the language of the web address you open.
• Statistics (denied by default, only with your consent): Google Tag Manager is only loaded after you consent to statistics or marketing. Google Analytics 4 is only loaded after you consent to statistics. Your statistics choice never grants marketing consent.
• Marketing (denied by default, only with your consent): a separate choice for advertising measurement and retargeting via Facebook and Instagram. Where the Meta Pixel is enabled on our public website, we only load it after your marketing consent. Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. then receives data about page views, the starting and successful submission of contact and newsletter requests, and steps of a trial request, such as the plan choice and submitting the registration. A submitted registration is still awaiting email activation and is not measured as an actually started trial period. We only send these explicitly configured events; automatic form detection is switched off. The Conversions API and Google Ads tags are not enabled yet. When a new version of this cookie policy appears, we ask for your choice again.
• Source of your first visit (only with consent for statistics): we then store one additional value in your browser’s localStorage (multomato-first-touch-v1) containing the campaign source, the first page visited and the time of your first visit. We retain this value for a maximum of fourteen months, deleting it sooner if you withdraw consent or clear your browser data.
• External media: currently inactive. We do not load embedded third-party media on this site. This category is therefore shown as inactive in your preferences.

Overview of what we store

The two Google cookies are only set after consent to statistics. Google Tag Manager does not set cookies itself. The Meta cookies _fbp and, where applicable, _fbc are set on our own domain, only after marketing consent and when the Pixel is enabled. A later visit with consent may renew their lifetime. Without consent, only your necessary cookie preference and any language cookie described above are retained.

For an allowed event, Meta may process your IP address, browser and device data, the public page visited and pseudonymous cookie identifiers. For form and trial requests, the step, chosen plan, location of the form and a general error category may also be included. We limit the page and referrer data we forward and do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, free message text, passwords or activation tokens. The purpose is to measure our advertisements, see where visitors drop off and reach earlier website visitors again on Facebook and Instagram. Meta can link this event data to a Meta account and combine it with other data according to its own privacy policy.

In the analytics category we process: route and page view data, events (for example opening an FAQ or starting a trial request), device and browser information, a global country or region indication and the traffic source with any UTM parameters. Contact details and free-form content are never sent to the dataLayer or to GA4. The purpose is limited: the site, the funnel and the results of our QR codes using pseudonymous and aggregated statistics.

Separately, our website platform Lovable uses basic project analytics (visitors, pages, source, device and country) to support the hosting and operation of the site.

We set the retention period for GA4 report and event data to a maximum of fourteen months.

On your first visit we ask for your consent. Statistics and marketing are off by default and you can refuse or allow them separately. With Allow all you switch both on; with Necessary only both stay off. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via Cookie preferences in the footer. If you withdraw statistics consent, new analytics events stop and we erase the stored origin data of your first visit. If you withdraw marketing consent, all new Meta events stop and we withdraw the consent with the Pixel. Data received earlier does not automatically disappear at Google or Meta as a result. You can also delete previously placed cookies yourself in your browser and exercise your privacy rights.
